Matthew A. Diersen, Ph.D.
|
Associate Professor / Extension Specialist
Matthew Diersen earned a B.A. degree in economics at the University of Minnesota at Morris in 1993 and a M.S. degree in agricultural economics at North Dakota State University in 1995. He earned a Ph.D. in agricultural economics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1999. He joined the Economics Department faculty at South Dakota State University in 1999 where he has an extension appointment as the risk and business management specialist. Dr. Diersen enjoys applying portfolio theory and economic principles to everyday life.
