Carol Cumber

Dr. Carol Cumber

Professor of Economics


North Dakota product Carol J. Cumber earned Bachelor of Arts in sociology/business and Master of Business Administration degrees from North Dakota State University in Fargo. Her Ph.D. specializing in organizational sociology and business demography is from South Dakota State University. She was an instructor in the business-economics department at the University of Minnesota-Morris for six years before joining SDSU's Economics Department in 1990. Her research interests include strategic analysis and intercultural/international issues, which have resulted in publications in journals and textbooks. Teaching interests include organization and management theory, and business policy and strategy. She currently is affiliated with the Biostress Center of Excellence, and team-teaches an integrated management course.
