Economics Professor and Director of West River Ag Center

Dr. Martin K. (Marty) Beutler is the Economics Department's Ranch Economist with responsibilities in Extension and Research.  His statewide duties concern economics ranch management and range resources as well as developing materials on the Impact of Agriculture in South Dakota. Dr. Beutler works in direct support of agents, producers, and commodity groups, and he teaches facilitation and collaboration skills through Coordinated Resource Management. His current research and extension efforts include the economics of rangeland improvement practices and the Impact of Agriculture study.
