The Dairy Science Department at SDSU has the teaching faculty and facilities to prepare you for a career specializing in either dairy production or dairy manufacturing. Bachelors and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) degrees in both dairy production and dairy manufacturing are awarded. The Dairy Science Department has 100% placement of graduates with salaries averaging over $40,000.
Dairy science is a diverse field and provides exciting employment opportunities for graduates in this stable, and growing industry.
More than 200 scholarships are available to students in the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences at SDSU. Forty-seven of these are specifically awarded to dairy students who have been at SDSU for at least one year, and thirteen scholarships are for freshman dairy students. The amounts range from $300 to $2,500 per year.
