Study Abroad

• Funds study in regions less frequented by Americans (not Western Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand)
  
• Up to $10,000 per semester for up to one academic year (based on program cost)
  
• Must work for government for one year after return
  
• Deadline: February

Freeman - http://www.iie.org/programs/freeman-asia

• Study in East Asia (China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, etc)
  
• Up to $7,000 for academic year
  
• Use with existing study abroad program
  
• Show financial need
  
• Deadlines: Summer – March; Fall or Year – April; Spring – October

• Study in almost any international location
  
• Up to $5,000  based on program cost
  
• Use with existing study abroad program
  
• Must have Pell Grant
  
• Additional $3,000 if studying Critical Need language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian)
